Boden Prog 7

The guitar played by priests of syrinx

Prog and Prog metal is no stranger to 7 strings so the Prog 7 fits perfectly. The futuristic Boden design suits the genre well!

Play-ability wise the ebony fingerboards makes for a stick effortless feel this is why ebony has been a high end feature on guitars for a very long time. The tightness of the ebony adds a little extra snap to the tone intensifying the clarity of notes and definition of chords.
The 4A flame maple top looks amazing in the black for the tasteful metal player. The natural looks great too and may look at home with session players.

The Strandberg* Boden range is very likely unlike anything you’ve played before, yet somehow Strandberg have improved on what’s familiar in almost every way.
By honing the way the guitars resonate with chambering, the weight has been reduced without sacrificing an ounce of tone.
With careful consideration of how we play differently at various parts of the fretboard the specialised neck carve adapts our hands to more easily reach those harder to reach notes effortlessly both low down and high up the neck. This works extra well for players new to extended range guitars.

The Fishman pickups not only split for tonal variation but also feature a second voicing accessible via the push pull tone pot. Then there are the frets which are fan fretted. This isn’t done so for appearance, the subtle fanning gives greater accuracy to intonation without making notes strange to play.
Due to tones, versatility and extended range we expect this will prove to be a favorite among players.
