Earth 100

A Well-Made Beginner’s Acoustic From Cort

The Earth 100 is one of Cort’s most popular, best-selling guitars, and it’s not hard to see why. Offering a professional standard acoustic sound at an entry-level price (around $300), the Earth 100 is the ideal beginner’s acoustic for anyone looking to develop their skills without breaking the bank.

High-Quality Materials

From the solid Sitka Spruce top to Mahogany body to that sweet, woody sound, you can tell that the designers of the Earth 100 really cared about using the right materials for the job. Available in a range of colours (including black, natural and sunburst), this is a guitar that not only looks beautiful but sounds beautiful as well.

Downsides to the Earth 100

It’s worth noting that there are a few downsides to this guitar.
Firstly, it’s all acoustic. This guitar doesn’t have any pickups so if you want amplification, you’ll have to arrange it yourself. Of course, in a way, that’s as much a pro as it is a con because it means that all your money has gone into getting the best possible acoustic sound.

Another – and more significant – downside to this guitar is that it isn’t always properly set up when you buy it. Fresh from the factory, this model tends to have a slightly high action, which is far from ideal on any guitar.
That being said, this is an easy enough problem to fix if you know how. You can access the truss rod from the bottom of the neck, and alter the action by careful adjustment with an Allen key.
If all that sounds a bit technical then don’t worry. Most guitar shops will be happy to do this for you if you ask.

Is The Earth 100 Worth The Price?

Absolutely!
As far as we’re concerned, the Earth 100 really is the perfect beginner’s acoustic guitar. You’ll have to go a long way to find better value for money!
