LG47

Excellent Craftwork from Atkin

Atkin’s guitars are a UK-based premium guitar brand known for their gorgeous acoustics. Their guitars combine classic techniques with modern, state-of-the-art manufacturing processes, to produce a truly top-of-the-line product.
If you love a good Slope Shoulder acoustic guitar, then the LG47 is for you. At just a glance, you’ll fall in love with this beautiful instrument, but looks aren’t everything. Here at TonePedia, we believe that what really matters is how an instrument sounds.

A Premium Slope Shoulder Guitar

The LG47 might only be a small-bodied guitar but, thanks to its scalloped bracing system and excellent choice of woods, it produces a loud and healthy tone. Not only is this guitar great for fingerstyle, but it also works well for flat-picking, hybrid picking and some of the lighter styles of strumming techniques.
With its standard C-Shaped neck and lightweight materials, this guitar feels great in the hand and sounds perfect to the ear. As far as we’re concerned it’s the ideal singer-songwriter guitar.

Should You Buy The LG47?

As with all premium guitars, the LG47 doesn’t come cheap. In this case, you’re looking at somewhere in the region of $3500 depending on the retailer.
Is it worth the money?
Well, that depends on how you feel about premium guitars. There’s little doubt that, as a rule, once you pass the $1500 you’ll start to see diminishing returns in terms of value, but diminishing returns are still returns.
All this to say that, if you can afford it, the LG47 is worth the money, but if the price seems daunting, then there are decent quality alternatives.

Of course, that’s all just our opinion. If you want a real unbias sound review, then you can listen to both guitars right here on TonePedia, and decide for yourself if you think the LG47 is worth the money.
